About Lookeesan Creatives

The name ‘Lookeesan’ is derived from the Malay word ‘lukisan’ which means drawing.

Solely founded in 2017, Lookeesan Creatives first started off as a passion project. It served as a platform for founder Liyana back then to hone her design skills by helping small businesses and solopreneurs in their visual branding efforts.

Aside from serving clients, Lookeesan also conducts creative workshops. We started off with our signature Adobe Illustrator workshop and have now expanded to include other courses on Adobe Photoshop, Canva and Smartphone Photography.

To date, we have connected with over 800 learners through our creative workshops and learning events over three years. Our Adobe Photoshop workshop has been listed on IT.com’s 2020 Best Photoshop Courses in Singapore.

About the founder

Liyana is a self-taught graphic designer. In 2016, she took a hiatus from her programme executive job in 2016 to focus on learning the industry standard design tools, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. She began freelancing and designing for small firms and solopreneurs within four months.

Through her experience as a self-taught designer, she was inspired to encourage other aspiring designers to pursue their creative interests in their own time. She started conducting Adobe Illustrator workshops in one-to-one sessions as she felt that it was most effective for every learner to learn a new skill at their own pace.

She is an ACTA certified trainer. To date, she has taught over 1000 learners through Lookeesan workshops, learning events and WSQ certified courses at approved training organisations (ATOs) such as NTUC Learning Hub and SSTC Institute. She is currently running Lookeesan Creatives as a one-woman team but owes much of Lookeesan’s progress to the partnerships and collaborations she has made over the years.
